The Katana weighs a total of 1.55 kilograms which is efficient enough for slicing, cutting, and even striking movements during practice.
Its blade is crafted from high quality T10 steel that has been sharpened and polished using the traditional Japanese Hadori polish process (Keisho). The T10 steel contains 1% carbon content and its edge has hardness of around 62 on Rockwell scale ; the blade was folded and has Damascus steel pattern which features classic hada on the Katana blade surface which enhances the artistic value of the sword. The toughness of this samurai Katana’s blade makes the weapon useful for cutting bamboo, tatami mats, and even small tree branches.
Since the blade of this samurai sword is clay tempered, its edge is hardened to allow the weapon to keep an extremely sharp edge; yet keep a soft spine, it is necessary to allow the sword to bend without breaking when swung not properly or hitting a very hard target with the wrong cutting technique. Additionally, this Katana is sharpened thoroughly so it can withstand the rigorous training in dojos, as well as practice cutting and slicing right in the backyard. This samurai Katanas blade has a measurement of seventy-two centimeters in length while its width is 3.2 centimeters.
Its tsuka has a length that measures twenty-seven centimeters and it is finely wrapped with white ray skin which is covered in light brown rayon silk; the Katana also includes a saya made from full ray skin and buffalo horn on the koijuri and koiguchi. This Katana sword also features full fittings made from high quality copper.
