Chinese Dadao Sword
There are numerous types of broadswords that are present and one of the well-known ones is the Chinese Broadsword. These swords have wide blades but under this category, there are also some Chinese Broadswords that have thinner blades that are also slightly curved. Among these is the Chines Dao, a single-edged blade that is used mainly for chopping and slashing while the other is the Chinese saber. The Dao is known to be part of the four classic weapons of China together with the spear, the staff / stick, and the sword known to be the General Weapons of All.
Our Broadsword is somewhat similar to the Dadao and it is also just as sturdy and efficient as the authentic blade; it is a full tang sword that features a highly durable blade that is made from AISI 1060 Steel that has been dyed with an eye-catching gold acid shade to add more appeal and charm to the blade. The Dao is a generic term utilized to distinguish any member of the single-edged broad bladed tool. Interestingly, the Daos blade is also used for polearms (these weapons are called the Guan Dao or Pudao), indicating that the blades were mainly intended for cutting or slicing attacks instead of stabbing.
The Dadao, originally was an agricultural tool but since it had an extremely powerful chopping blade, it also became a favorite weapon among the peasant militia. At some point, the Dadao was widely accepted by the military and when the twentieth century arrived, it became a common sidearm, as well as the main symbol of the Chinese police and military;
This Dadao sword features a blade that measures at fifty-one centimeters in length while its width is around 4.7 centimeters in total. The Dadao weighs a full 2.5 kilograms which is heavier than other swords but is still comfortable enough to wield and swing during practice. Its grip is fairly long which measures around twenty-five centimeters in total, allowing the wielder to hold the sword with two hands.
This Chinese Broad Sword features a unique looking dragon guard which was made by high quality bronze metal. The sharp 1060 High carbon steel blade is capable of cutting objects such as tree branches and large meat. The grip is made of a beautiful purple silk and silver colored synthetic leather to provide a better hold on its grip.. Comes with a brown leather sheath that stays on the blade with a metal button.
