Tanto Knife

The Tanto is known as one of the authentic Japanese blades that were carried by the Samurais in the past. It dates all the way back to the Heian period when the Tanto was primarily utilized as a weapon but eventually over the years, the Tanto evolved in terms of design and appearance to become something more elegant and ornate. The Tanto was utilized in traditional martial arts which was called the Tantojutsu. Its term has been reborn during the 1980’s in the West and was known to be a point-style of contemporary tactical knives that were primarily designed for stabbing or piercing purposes. The tanto features a short blade and was used as a dagger or a knife to pierce through armor, at a grappling range by the Samurai warriors, and it was also used by women for self-protection and self-defense.
The Japanese Tanto can either feature a single or a double-edged blade that is best utilized for stabbing or slashing; Our Tanto is fully functional and durable. It is a full tang blade with a cutting edge that has been thoroughly sharpened and is made from Clay Tempered T10 steel – also known as High Speed Steel or Tool Steel. aside from carbon, this type of steel is composed of tungsten which makes the T10 steel highly resistant to scratches while simultaneously being extremely durable and tough.
