This Japanese Shirasaya blade is full tang and made from high carbon steel that is fully sharpened, making it a battle ready sword with a carbon content of 1%, it indicates a harder and stronger metal designed for extensive Tameshigri or test cutting. This sword is made from T10 clay tempered steel, which has been differentially hardened.
This Shirasayas blade – just like the other non-folded T10 blades – are mirror polished to have a shiny surface. With a handle length of 26 centimeters and a blade length of 71 centimeters.
