Featuring a bo-hi (sometimes referred to as blood groove or fuller) which is present to help make the sword more lightweight and balanced, The Wakizashi swords were used by the Samurai as an auxiliary sword (back up), however it was also used to perform the ritual suicide that is called Seppuko.
