This Katana sword is a full tang blade made from 9260 spring steel which is a new modern steel that is used to manufacture springs, using this type of steel allows the Katana to easily flex, twist, bend and then return to its original shape without losing its form. It also allows for higher capacity for shock absorption and it is great compromise between flexibility and hardness.
This samurai Katana is sharp and fully functional, featuring a single bo-hi or blood groove which make the sword more lightweight. The bo-hi runs down the length of this Katana blade to make it a quicker and easier to wield; it also provides proper edge alignment when the weapon is swung.
