Full Tang Katana
This is a sharpened and fully functional Katana sword that has a blade made from 1060 folded carbon steel. The blade has been folded multiple times which creates thousands of layers and subtle hada appears on the blade surface which gives this Katana a higher artistic value; keep in mind that the process of folding does not enhance the performance or increase the hardness of a sword and is mainly for artistic purposes. Additionally, folded blades such as this samurai sword are more similar to the classic nihonto.
The Katana blade is full tang and the steel extends all the way through the handle making it a one solid piece of 1060 carbon steel.
The Katana has a blade length of seventy-two centimeters while its width measures at 3.2 centimeters. It weighs a total of 1.55 kilograms and its tsuka is adequately sized at twenty-seven centimeters.
This Samurai sword has a beautiful black saya with hand-painted flower decorations on it and wrapped with blue rayon silk Sageo that matches the traditional ito wrap that covers the white ray skin samegawa.
The Katana Tsuba (Hand Guard), Kashira (Butt Cap), and Fuchi (Hilt Collar) are all made from high-quality copper while the Menuki (ornaments on the handle) is made from brass. Additionally, this samurai Katana also includes a silk sword bag to keep the sword when it is not in use or when carrying the blade around.
