This handmade Wakizashi is fully functional and sharp, allowing you to utilize it for practice or training upon purchase. Its blade is made from 1060 carbon steel which consists of 0.60% carbon content. The blade is full tang which make it a solid piece of steel.
A single Bo-hi (or fuller / blood groove) is present which helps make the sword more lightweight. It also works by altering the Wakizashis balance point, making it easy to wield and perfectly balanced.
The Wakizashi blade also consists of fittings (the tsuba, kashira, and fuchi) that are all made from metal except for the menuki which is made of brass. Additionally, this samurai blade tsuka is set with white ray skin samegawa that is bound with a complementing purple rayon silk ito wrap; these colors go perfectly well with the Wakizashi white saya that features a beautiful phoenix inscription on it.
This samurai Wakizashi has a blade length that measures fifty-one centimeters while its width is about 3.2 centimeters; its tsuka has an adequate size of twenty-one centimeters and the entire sword weighs a total of 1.30 kilograms. Additionally, this Wakizashi sword also includes a silk sword bag which is useful when carrying the sword or when keeping it safe when not in use.
