Wakizashi

The handmade Wakizashi is formed from 1095 Folded Steel with Red Acid Dye.
The Wakizashi is full tang that is held in place beneath the handle by a couple of mekugi pins (double pegged) for extra safety and security.
The curved slot on the flattened side of your blade that alters its balance point is actually the Bohi, it helps to reduce the overall weight of the sword and allows for faster wielding.
1095 steel is frim and strong steel and enable swords to keep their edge very sharp.
The blade contains a nice grain pattern (HADA) with 8192 layers of steel, which makes Wakizashi a highly valued sword simply because of its craftsmanship. The layers were a direct result of folding the 1095 Folded Steel repeatedly for 13 times.
To increase the sword’s artistic value, the Wakizashi blade is dyed with a Red Acid Dye tone.

1095 Folded Steel Wakizashi

This high-quality Wakizashi contains a full-tang blade made from 1095 Folded Steel. It comes with a well-assembled Tsuka for precise & comfortable wielding.
Total length of the Wakizashi’s blade is 51 cm and the blade width is 3.2 cm. Length of the handle is 21 cm and then the swords’ overall weight is 1.38KG.
The Red Silk Ito wrap is wrapped over the Black Samegawa tightly and evenly to help make the Wakizashi handle/hilt well assembled.
A protective case named “Saya” is included with Wakizashi to help keep the blade safe when not being used. The Rosewood Saya’s body is typically designed for Wakizashi, making it very easy to slide in the sword.
A classic Samurai sword includes a wide range of housings and fittings. These are most important aspects of a weapon to carry the blade when used or stored.

By default the Wakizashi blade comes sharpened however, you can modify the sharpness level of your blade to “non-sharp” or “ultra-sharp” at the time you place your order.
If you’d like to further customize your sword, you can choose to incorporate a free sword engraving on the blade. To make it personal, you can actually engrave whatever that comes to your mind to make it personal and intimate.
If you’re considering it as Gift for a friend, relative or even yourself, a Wakizashi is one of the leading choices when it comes to something special and meaningful.
