Shirasaya Sword
This is Shirasaya Ninjato made of T10 Clay Tempered steel with Kiriha Zukuri kissaki and natural rosewood handle and Saya . The shirasaya style of Japanese sword mount was primarily meant for storing blades when they were not in use. The shirasaya with its natural rosewood finish allowed for the wood to breathe better and contract/expand with weather changes while keeping the precious sword inside as clean as possible.
This is a clay hardened Ninjato sword that exhibits one of the most appealing Hamon temper lines that is authentic and distinct as a result of traditional Clay Tempering Processes.
The rosewood tsuka matches the saya finish and features a double bamboo mekugi pin. The habaki is made of solid brass. The saya throat koiguchi is lined with black polymer for added strength against cracking.
It is capable of cutting medium targets such as bamboo, water bottle, small tree branches. The handle is also made of high quality natural rosewood.
