Ninjato Sword

The Ninjato, which is also sometimes called the shinobigatana or ninjaken, is said to be the preferred weapon of the Ninja’s during the warring period of Japan; it is a single-edged weapon and is best used for close-range combat during battle. This Ninjato sword construction pattern features a straight yet highly durable blade which is excellent for those who study or practice the Way of the Ninja, or for people who simply wish to collect beautiful pieces of weaponry. The blade is sharpened thoroughly to be fully functional and is hand-forged from high-quality 1060 Carbon Steel it features beautiful art of skulls all along the blades.
The existence of the Ninjato swords during the feudal period in Japan is still unclear but the Ninjas from that era definitely utilized deadly weapons to accomplish their missions. All the Ninjato that still remain were all made during the Edo period but those that have been utilized in the warring states before the said time have never been found. Although this is the case, the description of authentic Ninjato’s were based on the weapons that were created by the Ninja’s themselves – since they lacked the ability to have their swords forged at a master smith, the Ninja’s created their blades using slabs of iron or steel with its cutting edge being ground thoroughly on stone.
Since it was easier to produce blades that were straight, the Ninjas created their Ninjato swords with blades that featured this specific type of form or appearance. It was also said that the Ninjato swords had a specific look due to the fact that Ninja’s were mimicking one of the Buddhist deities of their Ninja families; Fudo Myo-Oh, a deity that was described as one who flaunted and swung a straight-bladed sword which was quite similar to the chokuto. Ninjatos will always be known as a straight-bladed weapon which has a few aspects that are similar to the Katana;
When we speak of the size of our Ninjato, its blade measures around fifty-one centimeters in length while its width is 3.2 centimeters in total; our Ninjato’s grip measures at twenty-six centimeters and weighs around 1.59 kilograms in total. As for our Ninjato’s blade, it is made from high-quality 1060 Carbon Steel which is greatly popular due to it being harder than 1045 steel; not only that but this type of steel is also more durable and long-lasting. Additionally, the cutting edge of the blade is also sharpened so the sword is fully functional and excellent for practice and cutting.
Our finely made Ninjato is a full tang Japanese sword that features a crossguard made of iron with a sleek black nylon wrap that covers the grip; also, it also features a sophisticated and stylish scabbard that mirrors the appearance of a holster with a strap to easily and protectively carry the blade along the shoulder area. The scabbard is made from excellent quality synthetic leather to keep the blade clean, safe, and protected.
