The tang of this Katana run through the entire length of the handle and is properly secured with two bamboo Mekugi pegs.
The Katana blade is well balanced by the “fuller” (bohi) which runs over the entire length of the sword and makes it simpler to utilize for Kenjutsu, Tameshigiri & laido.
This Katana high-carbon steel is the 1095 steel. It is used to produce functional swords, so these can endure damages from Tameshigiri.
