This is a fully functional and sharpened samurai Katana that is made from 1095 folded steel. The steel is a folded multiple times which creates thousands of layers displayed as delicate hada (grain pattern) on the blade surface.
The Katana sword has a full tang blade with a total blade length of seventy-two centimeters. its handle measures 27 centimeters. The blade width is about 3.2 centimeters; and overall has a weight of about 1.42 kilograms. This samurai Katana is perfectly balanced, and suitable for practice and training.
The Katana also features a bo-hi which is also referred to as the blood groove or fuller. It is meant to help make the blade lighter without having to sacrifice the weapons durability or blade integrity.
The tsuka (handle) is wrapped in white ray skin that is protected by a beautiful black rayon silk wrap; the menuki, Tsuba and Fuchi are made out of brass, while the Kashira made out of metal alloy.
Black colored saya is present to protect the Katana blade when not in use; the sword comes with silk sword bag which is also advantageous when carrying the sword or when keeping it safe when its not in use.
