The blade is made of T10 steel which is known for being one of the strongest types of steel. This makes it one of the best choices for cutting soft and medium targets. It also features a Kiriha Zukuri Kissaki.
The Kiriha Zukuri Kissaki is a feature used on the first straight swords in Japanese history which were used for stabbing more than slashing.
The blade is dyed in purple acid and its surface is Hadori polished. The polishing process makes the swords Hamon appear brighter.

The Tsuka Ito and Samegawa help prevent slipping and accidental cuts.
The Sword of the Shinobi
The Ninjato is one of the known weapons of the Shinobi. It was straight and shorter than the swords of the Samurai. The main purpose of the Ninjato was to stab opponents instead of slaying them. This is why its blade did not feature a curve.
This sword was easy to use in narrow spaces, making it excellent for close combat use. Another reason why the Ninjato was straight is that it was more than a killing weapon.
The Tsuba of the Ninjato was squared and often larger than the common ones that can be found in the Katana. There were several theories on why the Ninjato had these features. One was that the Shinobi used the sword as a tool.
It was said that the Shinobi would lean the Ninjato against a wall and use this as as a step when climbing. The Shinobi would then retrieve their swords with the Saya cord called Sageo.
