For Collectors, Practitioners, & Everyone Else

This Wakizashi is not only for collectors, but is also suitable for practicing martial arts. If you already have the Katana, then it is good to have the smaller piece that completes a Daisho. If not, then this blade can certainly be your first sword.

Measurements and Steel

The Wakizashi has a blade length of 51 centimeters and width of 3.2 centimeters. Its Tsuka measures 21 centimeters for comfort when gripping the sword. It weighs 1.45 kilograms.

The blade is made of T10 folded clay tempered steel. This has 1% carbon content with an HRC hardness of 62 for the blade. If using this for practice cutting, best targets would be for tree branches, Tatami mats, and bamboo. It is perfect for use in Tameshigiri.

Its clay-tempered blade is Hadori polished which enhances the Hamon’s beauty. Hada can also be seen on the blade which adds to its aesthetics.

Accessories and Fittings

This Wakizashi comes with an elegant Saya designed with hand printed leaves. This wooden Saya is not only beautiful, but it helps protect the Wakizashi’s blade when stored for display.

Its form and perfect shape allows you to quickly draw the sword. Thus, making it excellent for cutting or practice sessions.

The available fittings on the Wakizashi include the Fuchi, Menuki, Kashira, and Tsuba. All which are made from HQ copper.

Aside from these, the sword comes with a silk sword bag which is necessary for travel. It keeps the Wakizashi safe while in transit and it ensures added safety to the sword.

The Tsuka

This Wakizashi has a Tsuka wrapped in a nice brown rayon Ito. The ito is the handle wrap of the sword. Its purpose is mainly functional and aesthetic as it prevents any technical failure when using the sword. It also lifts towards the turns, making it even.

The Tsuka also comes with a gold ray skin Samegawa. It is used to wrap and safeguard the Tsuka but mainly works to keep your hands from sweating.

It is for proper gripping to prevent your hands from sliding over the Tsuka when in use.
