Tanto Knife
This is a Shirasaya Tanto samurai sword. The blade of the sword has been constructed from high carbon steel and it is sharpened. The blade has a deeply cut groove (bo-hi) to provide audible feedback when swung properly.
Blade: The blade has been hand forged through heat treating the high carbon steel , it features Bo-Hi (groove) that rests at the top on both sides of the blade. The blade comes full tang, unsharpened with sharp edge.
Saya (scabbard): The scabbard has been constructed from hardwood with a black lacquered finish. Kanji’s (from the famous Chinese war strategy Sun Tzu Tactics) are engraved on the scabbard. When the sword is sheathed the handle and saya appear to be one solid piece.
Tsuka (handle): The Tsuka core is also the same black lacquered hardwood.
