This Jian dagger was made in Longquan, a region that was central to sword production in the Song Dynasty.
This Chinese Dao Dagger has a sharpened blade of high carbon steel. The hilt guard and fittings are antique-finished metal-alloy and the wooden grip is finished with matt black. The wooden scabbard is finished in matching wooden matt black and cast metal fittings.
The blade is 1060 carbon steel. It is sharp and can be used as letter opener or target cutting. The surface of the double groove blade has been engraved and dyed with Chinese scroll work pattern.
